Oral Communication / Presentation Skills / Audience Recognition

Document Actions

The ability to explain a concept or communicate an idea in a presentation setting is increasingly important. This is particularly true in professional settings where students may be required to give presentations, develop ideas with others or communicate through diagrams and visual media.

Effective presentational skills can be demonstrated through:

  • the proficiency in the design and presentation of a broad range of visual communication techniques
  • the ability to make judgements about the way arguments and issues are manipulated through visual communication, and
  • the ability to demonstrate an intelligent and mature imagination in transforming information into meaningful patterns for audience recognition.
